CONTRARY TO POPULAR BELIEF, strings were NOT pulled at the Post Office to obtain PO Box 562 (for those unfamiliar, (562) is the area code for Long Beach and surrounding areas. This is what you do when you want to verify that a PO Box is empty before you ask for the number: 1. address an envelope to “Resident” at (po box number). remember to include zip. 2. place a FIRST CLASS stamp on the envelope 3. write “address correction requested” to the front of the envelope.
