The differences in these mail forwarding services is not where THEIR addresses are located but which addresses they offer to you. Most of them have at least two different cities or states for you to choose from; some have a lot more. So if you want your customers to think you’re from a particular state, do some research and find out what Company offers mail forwarding services in the state you want to appear to be from.

Of course, the larger the state you want to be from; the larger price you might have to pay for the address. For instance, New York may be more expensive than South Dakota so you’ll have another decision to make – is it worth paying more for any particular state. If you have several options, somewhere in California might be just fine, as would an address in Maryland.

Whatever you want, all you need to do is to research into the mail forwarding service and see which states they have available; and if they offer a street address in that state – or just a PO Box? This is another thing to consider. A PO Box is usually cheaper than a street address, but doesn’t look as prestigious to a potential customer.

You should be able to find what you need though; because when we were researching, we immediately found two very good companies that offered a variety of virtual mailing address options. One had as many as ten different states to choose from and offered street addresses as well as PO boxes.  Of course, when you have a variety of choices, it makes the process a whole lot easier. I suppose as with anything else, it’s just a matter of how much you’re willing to pay; and for what services.

Here are a few places you can find reviews of Mail Forwarding Company Providers, as well as a listing of Virtual Mailing Address options available.
