It has nothing to do with the union dummy. What you don’t understand is that IF the carrier gets hurt somehow delivering mail to your broken box, shit mgmt is going to discipline the carrier for not reporting the issue. Just fix your box and quit being a peeping Tom

usps united states postal serivce employees some of the lazyest workers in america. Not all of them, just most. When your overpaid to do as little as possible and in a union in which you will never be fired for having poor work ethic it doesnt make scense to work hard. I have been inside the Hubs of usps and its is comical and sicking how little these workers do and how graciously they are paid for it. Its no wonder theyre in the red.The world would be better of without the cash cow called usps

I have been delivering mail for 12 years. Low mailboxes are a pain, literally. I have over 500 stops on my route. With one hand we hold mail, open the box and put it in then reclose the box. Straight forward ,right? Not if the box is too low. Then we have to lower hand with the mail BLINDLY torque our arm around to try to open the box, further torque our arm to put in the mail. Blindly fumble for your outgoing mail and try to close your mailbox if at that time the flap isn’t totally out of reach
