where I work most internal communication happens through an internally public forum
the reason email sucks is that when you use it only two person know about the conversation so everything happens in secret and no one else knows what your problems are and you can’t get “unsolicited” help
with a forum anyone can step in with advice or help
email is just obsolete/inefficient/antiquated for most electronic communication

Musically I prefer “Don’t download this song”

Forgot to add one more thing,
Please give us your definition of “old”.

So you’re saying you don’t use email in your workplace?
Or maybe you are unemployed.
Or maybe you’re still in school. That’ll explain why you said only old people use it.

Thanks Al… you inspired me to start singing.
Ironically I won 1st place in the Talent Show with this song…
ANYWAYS. Thanks… you’ve made my life way easier.

It’s the first time he’s played a power ballad, that I know of, so it makes sense.

So, this “style parody” is basically the like Dare to Be Stupid to Devo

Also reminds me of myself always sending YouTube videos that I think are interesting or funny to my mom who rarely finds them remotely funny.

Reminds me of my father’s sister who was ALWAYS e-mailing random things to me that I had no interest in, that she would also e-mail to everyone else in her e-mail contacts.

The title of the song is: “Stop Forwarding That Crap To Me”. There is multiple ways of forwarding. “Share” on Facebook is forwarding. Btw I am “old”. I made my first email account back in 1996.

It’s not a parody of a specific song, but it’s a “style parody” (a song done in the style) of songwriter Jim Steinman. It’s an amazingly good one, in fact… After hearing this song, my wife asked if the person Al was parodying wrote the Air Supply song “Making Love Out of Nothing At All.” And he did, LOL! So this Weird Al tune sounds *so much* like a Jim Steinman song that someone listed to *this* one, and with only that clue, could recognize a *real* Jim Steinman song.
