I live in The Madeline Apartments located at 9855 Shadow Way, Dallas, TX 75293. This apartment community recently changed its name when it was all over the news for multiple violations of City and County Code. It is a SLUMLORD Community. Nothing works, (my fridge has broken down several times) there are many people here who have gone days without running water in their homes, other apartments have water but it comes out either brown or solid white, There are busted pipes constantly that run all over the parking lot in the dead of winter basically making for a hazardous entrance or exit and everynight I have to play piano chairs to try and get my central heat to work. The office is non responsive to the most basic of tenants concerns and refuse to give tenants the name of the management company. They also have a very dubious tow policy here where the tow truck comes every single night and removes visitors cars, tenants cars and even, unbelievably, their own employees cars and hold them hostage for 0 dollars even when all of the registrations and stickers are in order. After a few tenants filed complaints with the TX AG and BBB it was determined that this tow company, LongHorn Towing, didn’t even have a contract to tow here. They stopped for a while and we have been notified are about to resume… Someone in the office or even the apartment management itself are getting kickbacks from the tow policy here. Plus they are located in Texas and the Texas Republikkklan courts …
