This should be read by someone like Lionel Barrymore. This voice is all wrong for this book.
It needs to be read by someone a little more crusty. This is a little light in the trousers.

although I know it was an american book, I couldn’t bear to listen to it in an american accent all the way through. but i guess it must be good for english learners in any case.

@Jtheguitarplayer they serve to show the lengthy relationship of mariners, the sea, whales etc… I agree its very very long but I guess if you were totally ignorant of the subject, like a land bound uneducated person may very well be at that time… it might be of good help
