Alfonso Frank Frazetta, son of famed fantasy artist Frank Frazetta, appeared for a hearing on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, in Marshalls Creek District Court as he faces charges of stealing million in art from his family’s museum. A notary public testified that just nine days before the arrest, the elder Frazetta had given her a document to notarize to transfer power of attorney from his other children to Alfonso. I felt quite dismayed when I first heard this about Frank Frazetta’s son, but upon hearing he was actually doing a good deed, I’m happy he cared so much about his father’s art. Frank Frazetta is a true legend & inspiration.

Frank Frazetta’s creations can be seen as a national treasure! the state could easily solve this dispute by confiscating and putting the paintings in the Smithsonian Institution! Frank might like that. his work would be safe forever! on view for all to gaze upon in stunned amazement at his genius!

In met Frank Frazetta Sr., Ellie Frazetta and Frank Jr back in 2005 when I went to the museum in Stroudsberg. Frank Jr WOULD NEVER steal from his father! Frank Jr’s only intention was to PROTECT the paintings….not sell them! Yes, it was a little extreme the way he went about it ,but All he wanted was for the paintings to remain in the family and not be used commercially or sold. Frank Jr is a damn good guy and would’ve never hurt his father. R.I.P. Frank Frazetta Sr!

As fans , I wish there was something we could do. Look out for and report any of Frank’s work being sold or displayed under doubtful circumstances.

Out of all Frank’s 3 kids it is Frank Jr that did the most for his dad’s business that is for sure. I cannot say much about if Frank Sr did or did not gave permission for his son to break into his own museum or the possibility of his mental impairment caused by dementia that he simply forgotten what he said.
However sad as it was I cannot help to think that even this bad publicity is good publicity, The attention towards Frazetta’s paintings can only add value to the artist’s work.

also where is Dr.David Winiewicz?? (Doc Dave) does he have a saying in this situation considering he is the leadiing authority on Franks art and career. Also, Dave vaules the preservation on Frazetta Sr. paintings just as much as Frank Jr.

The Museum is in danger,, if the 3 children get there way Franks legacy will be faded away in generations to come… what about his pencils , pen & ink and watercolors? – I would suspect most of them have been sold.

I met Frank Jr one time at the Chiller show. He was a really cool guy and talks the world of his dad. I did not believe for a second that he would steel from him!

Yes frank the truth about the 3 stooges will all come tumbling down around them……..HeHeHaHa its just so amazing that Frank Sr goes to shirley kats and has this document done, then the 3 stooges have him taken out of the state to FL, which im sure hes been asking to go home to his studio. Hes proberly been asking everyday to go home. And they are ignoring him…………
