@Srd1126 @Srd1126 Thank you for the advice. Being that the guy who is
mentoring me is a former political official, here in N.J., and I’m also a
computer science instructor for several of the community colleges here, the
‘be professional’ item goes without saying. However, I did see a guy at a
signing in a pair of camouflage shorts and a tank top. He’d just gotten off
of his motorcycle. I don’t do that. Polo shirt and slacks, more to my
    current taste.

I just became a Notary Signing Agent (certified through the NNA). I’m based
in N.J. Are there any specific NSA sites that you’ve found to be especially
‘active’ in terms of calling you? I’m just getting started and need to get
calls. Any insight in this regard would be helpful!

@JbkNSA that is the smart way to dress. And be sure to act right as well.
You don’t want to know some of what I have heard. BTW: when you do a
signing, do you just have to notorize the note and mortgage?

can this be done in ny

Janie, this was just a test video I put up a while ago and forgot about,
But I can’t tell you how much work I have received from this stinking
video. I am a professional, have been doing this for a number of years.
Down here in south Texas, people don’t like suits, don’t trust suits. Yes,
I wear jeans to every appointment because that is the nature of the
    industry down here.

@JbkNSA I used to work for a title company. Best advice is be available and
try to cut out the middle man that is the signing service. It will take
time and luck but you may find a place gives you steady work. We were very
small and I gave one woman 3-4 a week, sometimes more. Other advice is BE
PROFESSIONAL. Some notaries are “on the edge of life” people and do not
leave a good impression. Finally, BE FLEXIBLE. He is not kidding about it
    always being last minute stuff.

If anyone could shed some light on me I’d appreciate it most definitely. I
would like to get into this business but I’d like to know what industry
would I profit off of most and what specific notary class would I need to
    take? Have a Great Day.

Hi, sent you an email several days ago for materials..still waiting for a
    response!

@Srd1126 Inasfar as the notarization of documents, I know that each signing
is different. So, I notarize whatever indicates having to be notarized.
With that said, I don’t immediately assume that there’s only going to be a
set number of actual notarizations at a signing. I simple ‘go with the
flow’ and let the documents determine the work involved.

just took my course and now waiting for my state senator to endorse me.
While I wait, is there a list of signing services you know of? I know of
notary rotary but want to cast my net wide to start.

This guy seems to be successful. You are ill because he doesn’t have to
work as hard as you may have? Well, he’s in the right area (meaning, not a
lot of people for the amount of business), and if its easy for him, that’s
    his professional life.

  15. Carlos Chavez says:

THANKS FOR THE ADVICE. SOME COMPANIES ON LINE CHARGE DIFERENT FEES FOR
BECOMING A NOTARY PUBLIC. SHOULD I JUST BECOME A SIGNING AGENT OR I HAVE TO
BE NOTARY PUBLIC FIRST???? PLEASE LET ME KNOW!
