Red Dawn had a lot of problems in terms of what’s the point? The story was
not all that believable and what were the antagonists trying to accomplish?
They invaded, but there’s a little bit of everything going on. Do they want
to control the Americans? Do they want to wipe them out? Do they want
status quo, except they’re the ones in charge? I do think the character
development was solid so there’s that.

I couldn’t suspend disbelief enough to go with NK invading the US way too
ludicrous.

I never understood how the original Red Dawn got distributed. It was
practically an advertisement for the NRA, and Hollywood generally would put
out anything conservative. However, from the clips shown it seems much more
schmaltzy than the rather simple original so the RT may be correct. P.S.
Get the original.

It isn’t just the North Koreans. It is a coalition of enemies. The North
Koreans are just invading Spokane/Seattle area. The Russians are mentioned
invading the East Coast and there is a point that shows all the flags and
the Chinese is shown, IIRC. And North Korea does have the 4th largest army
in the world so it would make sense to tap them for boots on the ground,
especially since you don’t expect a lot of resistance from the granola
munching hippie potheads in the Seattle area.

Silver Linings Playbook, a movie about a Philadelphia Eagles fan with a
mental disorder. Half the city is going to sue the production studio for
stealing their life story.
