What It Means When @UPS Transfers Your Package To Local Post Office For Delivery

I hate seeing “As requested by the sender, this shipment has been transferred to the local post office for delivery to the final destination.” This basically…

This is why I use USPS… -.- I have NEVER waited this long for a book. But
when I use USPS I get it early or exactly on time.

It happened to my carhartt jacket yesterday. I bought from Amazon and ups
was shipping it and transfered it to usps. I was livid! I hate when usps
delivers my packages because they just shove my things into the mailbox
without care. Luckily this was too big to shove in my mailbox. Got it on
the day it was supposed to be shipped but I’ve had other things take a
    month to get to me.

Oh BUT THERE IS SOMETHING I CAN DO ABOUT IT!

I can CONTACT the IDIOTIC company that did this and tell them I will NEVER
    USE THEM AGAIN! CASE CLOSED!

I just filled out a comments form and told them exactly how I feel about
    this:

I just found out that although I was expecting my package to be DELIVERED
TODAY by UPS….. That my order is going to be delayed because YOUR COMPANY
requested it be transferred to USPS! This was not UPS’s fault but rather
some idiotic decision by this company!

Now it will take an additional 1 or 2 days, if it is longer than that
…and take THIS SERIOUSLY…I WILL file a formal complaint about your
company with the better business bureau! This is completely unacceptable
and I will not be using you again for my auto parts.

You should have said in your form that this is how you deliver packages!
You said nothing of the kind! I was told my package would be delivered by
UPS….now I find out that it is not.

There was absolutely NO REASON for you to do this. Again, hopefully I will
get my parts within 1 or 2 days because if not, the better business bureau
    will be involved.

Either way, I will not be coming to you again for auto parts.

    “nuff said.

The tracking for USPS doesn’t display anything, and the UPS tracking only
displays that the package was transferred. “Donahoe and Davis discuss their
efforts to improve service to their customers”

  5. MeerEarthlings says:

my package was suppose to arrive 5 business days ago. FUCK

  6. Alex Jaraa says:

Sheet-it! If i wanted to wait 3 months for my stuff to get here i would not
    shop online.

  7. solesearched says:

These fuckers “transferred package to local post office” in the wrong damn
city! The post office they dropped it off at is two towns over. Fml.

  8. Chris Simmons says:

so my tracker said it was transferred to my local post office yesterday .
    wil it come today ?

  11. James Schmidt says:

  12. cal920c says:

lol, If i order something… and it goes to canada post……

  13. Manny Ortiz says:

I put the address of my dad’s work, which always works when I order
packages like video games. This time I ordered a jacket, will it be
delivered to my dad’s work like always? I have an issue ordering with UPS
too, but my dad is very greedy with his money so he insists on saving.

  14. Charles Adams says:

Thanks for the info now. I at least know what to expect

I’ll tell you exactly what it means when UPS transfers your package to
USPS. It means UPS does not value your businessto have it delivered by
them. They charge you an outrageous price and in returns pays USPS at a
fraction of the price they charged you. As far as anyone seeing the
mistakes UPS does–Think again! They deliver when homes are vacant. It is
the USPS mail carrier that picks up those packages any sees to it that is
doesn’t sit there for weeks or months. So thank a mail carrier.

What do you expect you deadbeat? Maybe if you didn’t move apartments every
year like the bum you are you wouldn’t have these problems. Here is another
idea, if you know your moving get a post office box during the transition
    period.

  18. Lu Ri says:

    Calm your hands, lol….

  19. JCRFT says:

Aw man, im guessing im not getting my package today. maybe cause its a
    small package

  20. silentechoes says:

I actually prefer when they transfer it to USPS because I’m not home much,
and the only people who have access to the locked package mailbox in my
apartment complex is USPS, whereas UPS has to bring it to my door, and
since I’m not home usually, I get a notice saying I need to sign it in
order for them to leave it, so it ends up extending it a day anyways if UPS
    delivers it.

  21. Lindy Johnson says:

That still doesn’t answer why they do it…if it saves money…hmm…that
doesn’t make sense either…sounds like the government is involved…I’ve
had one change of address in my life and that was years ago, and this
happened to me the other day. So frustrating!

  22. Eli Maalouf says:

the same happened to me but it came the next day

  23. zMeTrOaSyLuMz says:

Sooo your saying that usps WONT get me my package today? (this is the
    expected delivery date)

  24. Huntard22189 says:

    LOL

  25. StefanThe443 says:

did you get it the day u expected?
