    I agree! I also have a personal connection to that facility — my father worked there during WWII, when it was Vultee Aircraft. Since they were manufacturing military aircraft, the entire plant was camouflaged to blend into the surroundings. After the war, some former employees formed the Vultee Club and continued to meet for many years afterward. My dad was the chairman for a few years. I can remember as a boy in the 60′s walking to the post office to pick up the club’s mail for him.

    It’s nice to see it back home, where it was actually born in Downey! These Rockwell International/North American Aviation buildings are beautiful. It’s a shame they are being demolished
