For anyone having issues, relax and make sure you setup your options on the device as well as google voice form a computer, you can’t access some features from a mobile device. This video does not really show the benefit of the app, or how to use it effectively. Good looks tho to the poster of this vid

Works perfect on iPhone4! Goods: free calls, text with pictures, works with google. Bad: no call waiting. If I’m on the phone no incoming calls. The incoming caller get the answering machine after a few rings, and you never know they called unless they leave a voice mail or text you. I recommend the app to all who don’t want phone bills. Works thru wifi so you don’t even need a sim ( my phone says no seevice) in your iPhone, nice

how do i get my ipad2 to ring when i get a call on my talkatone. i get all other alerts ie voicemail email but no ringing to alert when someone is calling me.

It is a fantastic app, but the ringtone volume running in background or lock screen is hardly audible. Unless you have it on a phone with vibrate, you will miss most calls such as using an iTouch or iPad.

Nice video. Thanks. One other thing. Talk atone saya available in US and Canada but it is limited in Canada in areas. You can make outgoing calls, but the people wanting to call you must also get a Gmail acct and the talk atone app.

I put talkatone on my kids smartphones and did away with the monthly plans on their phones. They can use it anywhere there is wifi or if I decide to share my internet through Foxfi APP off my cell. I also found a way to get my service for free check out teamworkcounts com or vist my page and click on links. Lowering this bill has saved me big money
