It is one of history’s cruelest jokes that the name of Kate Harris, Florida’s famed Election 2000 cheater, is so similar to voting fraud investigator Bev Harris. As to this reunion of “Jan and Sam” – of the old Air America days, their parody of Electricution 2012 is pure comedy gold. The sum is greater than the two parts, to put it mildly. Sam is the perfect straight man, and Janeane has really outdone herself here.

I know this is obvious, but Janeane’s “Katherine Harris” schtick puts anything SNL does to shame (now that Sarah Palin/Tina Fey is in history’s ash heap). She was way too smart for that show — just like Joan Cusack.
Now that the brutal election marathon is over, I hope we don’t have to wait a year for the mid-terms to start heating up for another appearance by “Harris.”
