You press the menu button your your device and click on the send button. Also, if you’re in your settings, there is no “save” button. Simply press your BACK button to save and go back to previous page.
I have this on my kindle fire. I installed it. I viewed an email from my friend. I hit the reply button. I typed my email. THERE IS NO WHERE TO HIT THE SEND BUTTON. So if someone can please tell me how to SEND an email in K-9 I’d appreciate it. If someone can email me explaining this, my email is eliz7212@verizon.net. Thanks much
great review man. just what i needed, been looking all over youtube for this. Do you think you can review the ‘Improved Email’ app, maybe compare it to this one? Going to check out your other videos now.
Hi. Great presentation! I have 5 email accounts, 3 Gmail, 1 Earthlink and 1 Yahoo. Can anyone tell me whether this app or any others would make it possible for a different notification tone to be assigned to these different email accounts? Likewise, I’d want to silence all but one of these at night while sleeping. Droid X is my phone and customer service people tell me I can’t do either of these. Thanks in advance..
; you will need to manage the signature for each account separately, but menu/more/settings/account settings/sending mail/composition options/uncheck use signature
1) K-9 works. The stock email tool doesn’t work well at all. It’s very buggy.
2) K-9 causes a little light on your phone to flash when you have email, so you can tell just by looking at your phone without enabling the screen whether you have email. You can even change the color of the flashing light.

If anyone was wondering, you need to enable pinch-zoom in the global settings. K-9 is now my default email client. I love that it is opens source.

Two additional features not mentioned are:
1) K-9 works. The stock email tool doesn’t work well at all. It’s very buggy.
2) K-9 causes a little light on your phone to flash when you have email, so you can tell just by looking at your phone without enabling the screen whether you have email. You can even change the color of the flashing light.

IMAP is instant delivery and marking read/unread to the server takes seconds.

Does gmail/imap get pushed (ie instant delivery) to the device? What about mark read/unread from the gmail server to device?

You’d like this – I know blackberry is a level above most smartphones but I think this is closer to the BB that Android has right now =]
