I have a personal phone which my friends and families call me at. I also have a phone provided by my work. I don’t like carrying 2 phones with me so I call-foward my personal # to my work phone. The only catch is, I can’t forward SMS text messages. It’d be great if Apple had this builtin to iOS. However, I can forward the SMS messages to email and then I can read the SMS text on another iPhone, Blackberry, iPad, or even computer. Basically any device that can retreive emails. Here’s what you’ll need iPhone (jailbroken) NotifyPro (from Cydia) Notifo.com account (free!) Email account Another device (blackberry, Android, tablet, PC, etc) where you plan to read your email (in my case an iPhone, doesn’t need to be jailbroken)

Hi – my use case is a bit different:
While traveling Internationally, my jailbroke iPhone will have a local SIM installed, ie. my phone will be off but I still want to receive SMS messages that people send to me while I am away. Any solution for this?

Cool. This is exactly what I was lookin’ for. Can’t use my personal mobile in office. This is the best way to get imp txt forwarded to email.

I love how it says notify account FREE!!… then you go to download the app and it cost $1.50 LOL. But hey, I got the account for free! yay! pffft :/

No, the phone has to be on for Notify Pro to forward.

does this work when original iphone that text was sent to is powered off? I.E. you’re out of the country and want to forward your texts to your email address even though your phone is turned off.

When you get the message, it’s in your email. You can’t reply.
When I get a SMS that was forwarded to email, I just use my phone and SMS them back or email them. In which case, they’ll see my work #.

So when you respond back on your work phone, what do your friends and family see?
Do they see the response as a work # or you personal #?
This video was useful because I eventually want to do this but I don’t want people ever seeing my work #.
