How Did The Railroad Pick The US Mail Up???

Had a trip to Sacramento, California and visited the California State Railroad Museum… I walked onto the RPO (Railway Post Office) car and found this very interesting…Lee Nelson worked for the US Post Office in Chicago and was placed on a RPO Car. Mr. Nelson would sort, drop-off and pick up the mail…He explains how he did it…And tells some other interesting memories as well… I know it’s 13 minutes but it goes by fast…The car we are standing in was built for the Great Northern… If you are ever in Sacramento, California be sure to stop by and see the Museum…The California State Museum has real locomotives, like a Southern Pacific Cab-Forward Steam Engine. It’s a very interesting museum if you are a railfan. Enjoy! Thank you Mr. Nelson for sharing your stories and I appreciate your time………Hope everyone has a safe Christmas……..
